Tips on Writing the Paragraph

There are three simple facts we should remember when writing paragraphs

1. You must be writing about something so first, identify what this SUBJECT is. Your subject might be a person, a place an object or an  idea.

2. You must indicate how you feel about that subject/ idea whether this feeling is negative, positive or neutral. This feeling is indicated in a sentence called the TOPIC SENTENCE. It is usually found at the beginning of the paragraph and lets your readers know immediately what your position/stance or feeling is about the subject you will write about.

3. After you have identified the subject, and written your topic sentence, you must say WHY you feel the way you do about the subject. These reasons are written as something called the SUPPORTING DETAILS. These sentences serve simply to prove that your reasons for believing however you do about your subject are not just resaons in passing but are based on actual experience or observations or well thought out ideas. In other words, the supporting details/ sentences simply explain why you feel the way you do about your subject.

Simple...is it not???????
